What is this?

This is Medb Channel. It is a pseudo-anonymous web forum about nothing in particular. Its primary inspirations were Twitter, 2ch, and other imageboards.

Why 'Medb Channel'?

I like Queen Medb of Connacht, both in actuality and her Fate rendition. This site is named after her. The name also doubles as a play on BB Channel.

Who are you?

I'm just some guy. Keep that in mind with regards to everything with the site. Do not use passwords you use elsewhere and do not trust that anonymous posts will 100% always stay anonymous. I try my best but at the end of the day I'm just some guy, I don’t really know what I’m doing. Screw-ups are inevitable.

What information do you store?

Only what you explicitly give us. Cookies are all functional such as ‘remember me’

What do I do here?

The intent is to mimic twitter's style of posting whatever comes to your head. Don't worry so much about making engaging threads like with traditional imageboards

Profiles?

Yes. You don't have to publicly use it. There's no shame in only ever posting anonymously. You can visit profiles by clicking on the username or by going to /profile-profilename. You will only be able to see public posts on others' profiles.

I can't log in

Normally it should tell you why. If you believe there is an issue, please contact us with all relevant information via our email. If your account is locked please contact us and we may unlock it. Accounts usually lock for suspicious behaviour

Anonymous?

You can post anonymously. Others will not be able to see who posted it. While this is the fallback method and what posts default to if something goes wrong, nothing is 100% certain. Still think about what you're writing.

File types?

As of now; jpg, png, webp, gif, mp4, webm. Max file size tends to hover between 5 and 10mb. WARNING: As of now we currently do not stip exif data. Please do so prior to uploading

Replies?

The format is: '>>postno'. You can click on the post no to avoid having to type it in.

Text formatting?

You can quote with '>', and exclaim with '<'. More may be added in the future

My Post didn't work

There are many reasons this could be happening. There is a post delay system to counter spamming, the text could be over the limit, it could be a bad file, account ban, etc etc. Normally it should inform you why it failed. If it doesn't it normally means there was an error in the image. Try re-encoding it.

How do I delete a post?

You can't. If it's serious contact an admin

Do posts autodelete after a certain amount of time/activity like other imageboards?

Yes. The time depends on site activity.

Thread Locked?

Threads autolock at a certain number of posts or by an admin.
